About the Llangollen Canal
In total, the Llangollen Canal stretches some 90 miles, which equates to about 40 hours of cruising. It has everything for all tastes, whether it be the challenge of the Grindley Brook and it's staircase locks or a more serene and gentile holiday, crusing some 30 miles with just 2 locks, which can be done from Llangollen to Whitchurch. Not forgettting of course, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a canal in the sky, as you sail some 120 ft high above the River Dee down below. A truely unforgettable experience.

The entire LLangollen Canal makes for a full weeks sailing. A longer holiday can be fully justified too, as you extend your journey to include the Four Counties or Cheshire rings.

From England into Wales, the Llangollen Canal doesn't lead to any other, reaching it's beautiful end at Horseshow Falls, but then why would you want to only sail this once? A return journey leads to new views you'd missed before.
